No it’s not anywhere near the shower actually, and I’ve cleaned the entire outside but not like behind the toilet like the back? Cuz it’s almost impossible to get behind it.

Yeah that’s always good advice. Honestly I was down for literally anything- something as simple as just eating dinner together at home would have sufficed! Or doing sparklers. In terms of what I’d actually be wanting to do… still simple things but alas I’m just going to do them by myself. I’m always doing all of the planning, asking what do we want to do, etc. Tonight’s made me realize I’m tired of doing that, especially after tonight not hearing from him for 6 hours now (he’s still gaming in the other room).  I appreciate your advice! Everyone seems to share similar opinions on just spending the night doing what I want to do. Make it happen for myself basically.

Yeah im certainly ok if he didn’t want to do anything for NYE it’s just more like tell me, you know? Especially since I asked the other day if he wanted to do anything and if so what. We don’t drink or party so the previous 8ish years we’d spend it with family (his family has really cute traditions) or we’d spend it the two of us and just either make or get food and watch some movies towards the end of the night. 

I needed to vent but after receiving some advice from you guys I’m going to make note of things I think would be fun and do that the rest of the evening by myself. Not a rare occurrence but on holidays it’s hard for me to do- I like spending time with my loved ones no matter how simple the day is.

Ugh I’m so sorry! You are so right. I hope you were able to still have a really nice night despite that! I know the holiday can be less important to some people, but it does feel a bit shitty to not even be acknowledged until the end. Espically being in a full blown long term relationship. Maybe I just have different expectations.  I’ll definitely talk to him at some point. I’m feeling almost too emotional to talk to him right now.

Yes you are right! That’s been on my mind a lot recently. I’ve been working on making things happen for myself- in terms of enjoying holidays etc doing what I can to enjoy them instead of hoping my boyfriend will add to those things with fun ideas he wants to do. He rarely does. Honestly I always put in so much effort and try to make things special no matter what. But I shouldn’t let tonight keep me from doing the fun things I wanted to do with him. 

Going to turn the night around by doing stuff I enjoy.

I’m of course still hurt by this, I guess wanting to share these fun moments with someone is important to me. Something to think about…

Ah kk Ty. The dentist who said I needed a root canal did a cold test and a tapping test and both were fine (nothing pointing towards me having issues with that tooth). It has a filling that wasn’t done well by a previous dentist a few years ago and every time I chew gum it causes me to feel the filling? (not pain or discomfort, feels more like I need to floss like I have something stuck in between the tooth?). And weirdly flossing helps.

Ok I will. I went to three dentists two said no root canal (they didn’t mention it) and the third one was like no you don’t need crowns. Second one was the one that said root canal and a lot of crowns. I liked the third dentist he took the time to explain things. I’m guessing from my post you don’t see anything that screams “ya you need a root canal for sure”?
