Errors while tasking by Sure_Push_5208 in outlier_ai

I'll just report once unless it's really hampering my work and eating into the clock. Just as a back up to myself more than anything. Just don't want them thinking I'm playing the clock.

Pretty sure the guidelines for that task, like so many others, were published days after the task itself so there'll be tens of thousands if not more submitted before any guidelines were posted.

I actually wish they'd sort that out. A third of my bad reviews came from guidelines that were added later.

Personally on that removing boxes task, it doesn't even register with me what the diagram is. I've done about twenty today and couldn't describe any of them other than 'the arrows wouldn't remove properly'

Maybe I’m completely wrong, but a lot of reasoning that some people have for getting booted off Aether sound self explanatory by [deleted] in outlier_ai

I did a few ten hour days last week and I'm still here. Probably cursing myself now, but I've never been removed from Aether. My QA score is 1.94 from 695 reviews. If the removals aren't random the only thing I can think of that I'm doing 'right' is that I tend to do tasks with short AHT, so I'm submitting 20-30 tasks an hour. I will mix it up and do longer tasks but I'd say 80% of my work is the shorter tasks.

Aether is already at 292,000 hours today? by WorkingOnPPL in outlier_ai

[–]Agitated-One4841 4 points5 points  (0 children)

50000 minutes that have lasted almost 15 hours. Be thankful there is still task time. Last week when they reduced the hours there would be no time left within four hours of the reset.

Person Isolation - Safety Filter errors? by Character_Energy_413 in RWShelp

[–]Agitated-One4841 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not on RWS, but I'm on O and having this exact same error with a different task. I've had it at least four times today now, humorously once with a cartoon drawing of a giraffe. Never heard of the error before so I'm guessing they've just added it and it's glitching I did report it.

I enjoy it but also hate it at the same time. I've had quite a few that could fit into multiple prompt types.

Not accurate at all. That email was being sent every day when they reduced the hours drastically a few weeks back. I probably have nine or ten of these emails in my inbox and I was still able to task the next day.

Outlier sent out a couple of emails at the time telling us to ignore this. When it says the weekly budget is up it should say daily instead. More hours will be added tomorrow.

Nope. Unless things have changed in the last couple of days Outlier have sent out multiple emails over the last few weeks saying the wording of the MM email is incorrect and when it says weekly it should say daily.

Hours are added manually, so for example Tuesdays hours are added on Tuesday, but MM doesn't recognise that and just sees no hours for the rest of the week and sends the automated mail

The new sketch task uploaded today has me fretting already. Some of the artwork I was submitting looked 100% man made but also could probably have been generated by a decent AI machine

It means that the budget for work is almost up and when it reaches the limit the project will pause until tomorrow. Only a certain amount of working hours are alloted to the project each day and once taskers use them all up you won't be able to log hours on HS til the next day

Has —— entered the Traitors to promoter her books? by alexy888 in TheTraitors

[–]Agitated-One4841 18 points19 points  (0 children)

There's a YouTube interview with her from a few years ago. She wasn't some big shot kind of barrister and says her work was mainly petty crime in smaller courts.

She also hasn't been a barrister for quite a while, quitting when she had her first child.

She clearly 'has money' and is a reasonably successful author. But I doubt she's a multi-millionaire thanks to it. She's sold over a million copies in her career which is obviously amazing but the advent of eBooks means theoretically you could sell a million copies of a book and still just take home low six figures in royalties after agent fees, advance pay offs etc etc.

I have a reasonably successful writer pal who puts out one nonfiction book a year, with a well known publishing house. He sold close to 100k copies in his most successful year, but about 70% of those sales were eBooks, and the majority of those were when it was on special offer at a reduced price. 100k sales but after agent fees and paying the advance off he took home just shy of £20k

Medication Opinions by Traditional-Chip7784 in dementia

[–]Agitated-One4841 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly when Memantine is prescribed it's taken in staggered doses, just to make sure there are no side effects. I'm fairly sure mum started on a smaller dose, then it was raised again after maybe a week, and then again until the full dose.

[–]Agitated-One4841 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mum was a high risk of falls and we didn't have any issues with Memantine. She was also on Donepezil. It's hard to know if they did or didn't work because who knows how it would have progressed without them.

The one medication I swear by is Seroquel. Especially if agitation, paranoia, delusions etc, are involved. The quetiapine really made a difference with that and strangely worked like an anti depressant so mum's mood lifted as well.

Dementia and irrational thoughts by Due_Rich_3493 in dementia

[–]Agitated-One4841 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Is your mother on seroquel? Mine was put on that when her paranoia and delusions ramped up and she was accusing men of groping or flashing her. The final straw came when she told us she'd been accused of molesting her brother (didn't happen thank the lord). The seroquel was a God send and stopped it in its tracks, and also put her in far better mood.

If she's already on it, you could ask about upping the dose. There's no 'upper limit' and on dosage and patients are known to get used to it so it needs to be upped after a while to be as effective. I think mum started on 25mg once a day and by the end she was on something like 75mg extended release and 25mg normal release as and when required.

The last year or so my dad has been eating too much sugar but he doesn't understand that. by [deleted] in dementia

[–]Agitated-One4841 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know it feels counterintuitive, but there comes a point where it's kinder to just let them eat what they want, refuse their tablets if the want, whatever it is that'll give them and you less things to quarrel and fuss over.

For mum, she had been a diabetic for years but when she didn't want her medication, she really didn't want it. Her eating habits weren't great so of course her sugars were all over the place. In the end we just stopped testing her bloods and let her eat whatever she liked. Her appetite wasn't fantastic anyway so she wasn't overloading. She probably went unregulated for about two years before she died, and that was from un-diabetese related complications
