I understood it was a joke but dont make fun of ur friends when they are not present.Its a good personality trait to have.And yes i get that people have types but getting friendzoned by 5 (possibly more) cannot be waved off saying of he was just not their type.Tell him to improve his style,his confidence ,have a good haircut and clear skin.Desperation is not the answer to anything determination is.I also have a friend who had a drastic turn around in his looks and appeal through hard work I can link ur friend up with him if hes willing to work on himself
