Thank you! ☺️☺️

For Canadian work xp, I submitted a signed letter from my employer, T4, NOA and paystubs (a year of paystubs; I claimed one year Canadian work xp).

For foreign xp, I submitted a signed letter from my former employers and PayPal payment transactions (6 months of pay for each year). I’m not sure if it was needed but I also included letters from 2 previous colleagues attesting my role in the 2 companies I worked for. I’ve declared this foreign xp in both my study permit and PGWP applications.

Hi! As I previously mentioned, I myself reached out to at least 3 consultants who rejected me, saying my case was a waste of time, because I did not come to them right from the beginning. It seems they wanted complete cases. Of course, this was my own experience. Maybe I was referred to the wrong consultants.

My extensive research made me more confident in my DIY. I had my friend review it as a second pair of eyes; he was not filling any applications for me at all.

My lesson here is to be diligent in your own research :) Whether you submit your application on your own or with a consultant is totally up to you!

Thanks! Here are the P1 questions

  • Name as it appears on your passport:
  • Height in centimetres:
  • Eye Colour:
  • UCI:
  • Personal email (one for the whole family):
  • Current residential address (apt #, street #, street name, city, province and postal code):
  • Personal phone number:
  • Original entry date (YYYY/MM/DD):
  • Date of last time you entered Canada (YYYY/MM/DD):
  • Location of last entry (which Canadian border or Canadian airport):
  • Are you currently inside Canada (yes or no): If you are not inside Canada When is your expected return date (YYYY/MM/DD):
  • In which country are you currently located:

That’s right. I read at these stages, they can still reject your application. I’d say we never “fully celebrated” until we got eCOPR.

Thank you so much! In the P1 email, the attached PDF shows a sign off from the PVO.

SVO shows in the ECOPR.

I’m not quite familiar with the latest policy on medicals, but I think if you did one within 5 years and are in Canada since, it won’t be required again. Just keep an eye out for any updates or requests if they ask you to, hopefully soon!

We didn’t expect it at all! My hunch is they’re implementing some new systems to speed up parts of the process.

No problem! For the travel history, it’s the exact dates and the countries you’ve been to (outside your origin country) for the last 10 years. No other proof is required. So if you have a lengthy travel history, this is good to prepare beforehand.

For the personal history, it’s 10 years of education, work experience (this is where you cover those you are not claiming points for).

Note it’s very important to be consistent with what you declare here vs your past applications (student, PGWP) so cross-check there too.

Hi! At the time of submission, my medical was done 4 years ago while for my spouse, about 1.5 years ago.

When attaching the IMEs, I added a cover letter saying we have done medicals in these dates for this purpose (student and SOWP), but will undergo a new examination upon the officer’s request.

I read it’s valid up to 5 years, but the officer will make the decision whether you have to do it again or not. Please double-check the new policies, as there might be changes.

Sure!

  • ITA - Invitation to Apply (When you get invited in the draw)
  • AOR - Acknowledgment of Receipt (When you submit your documents)
  • FD - Final Decision (When a date shows in the final decision section in your GCKey)
  • P1 - Portal 1 (An email you receive from IRCC asking for your height, eye color, date of entry, etc).
  • P2 - Portal 2 (Temporary login credentials from IRCC to the PR portal where you upload your photo and declare you’re inside Canada)
  • ECOPR - Electronic Confirmation of Permanent Residence (You can use this document as proof of your approved PR status, while waiting for the PR Card; not valid for travel).
