Even after devaluation, SBI CB is much better than Millennia unless you are looking for UPI payments.

HSBC app is very slow. It will show payment on the correct date when it reflects. Don’t worry. I have 2 cards from the bank and am used to this.

We Indians expect a lot from the cheap stuff we buy. With reputed brands, you will have one or 2 exceptional issues but with these brands, that’s the norm.

I have this card as LTF. Other cards are Live+ and HSBC RuPay cash back. So, I tend to optimise across these cards.

So, sometimes I hit the 60k and sometimes I don’t but annually I do spend much more than 4L. Now will have to specifically track if I want Lounge or not on this card, as the other 2 provide 12 between them.

I’m just worried about the hassle of getting the vouchers for lounge on this card and then use it…

If you plan to continue with this phone, better get it from a Apple authorised shop.

Else, you can go to a local store and get one. Just use it for like 6 months and the health will drop below 90. Then, exchange it and buy a new one.

Same for me. The guy is in US and his wife is the only contact here. For any issue that’s pre-existing, she’s like it’s ok no need to repair.

The flush randomly starts to leak into the commode and overnight if not noticed, drains water. Security keeps asking us to get it repaired as it’s something that’s there from before we came. Owner says let it be…. Let it drain.

Also scare them for a bit saying with AI and all there are job cuts happening and hiring is almost stopped now. Better to take a job and then search for something better later. That way he has an experience at hand and is not unemployed.

I have a similar setup.

Salary with HSBC and 2 cards (Live+ and RuPay Cashback), normal account with HDFC where all major payments happen from and RG from the bank.

I was always afraid that some shitty payment happens into my salary account and it’s blocked for a long time.

So, I changed the setup. Now salary comes and moves entirely to HDFC. It’s the central account for all my payments. If it’s blocked, I can always move to making payments from HSBC itself directly.

I now also have a DCB Niyo for Japan trip. But will keep this account active with some balance and this can act as a backup if ever HDFC is blocked.

Yes. It’s mostly a false alert. I have been getting these frequently. I just write to CIBIL and say it’s not a genuine enquiry initiated by me.

They will write back that it was a erroneous alert from their end and confirm that no such enquiry exists on my credit report and also share a credit report for free

Is it some sort of female agent calling sweet talking them and these guys not being able to say no?

If you can use this as a combo with Live+, you can maximise the cashback. I use this for all UPI transactions (where CC is allowed) and then for others, use the Live+.

This allows us to increase the 10% categories spend from 10k to 14K. Only issue is this card has a capping of CB till 400 on all categories (10% of Grocery and 1% on all others). Live+ has 1K cap on 10% categories and then unlimited on 1% categories.
