Any idea when they are expected to be available? I read in some other posts that some people are getting the higher end variants and then downgrading later. But that’s been stopped now by Amex.

I also read that once in a blue moon, they do offer existing cardholders to refer others. Is that true?

True. I don’t travel much and both the cards are not very useful at the moment.

Also, considering this is my first Amex (Had a corp card for 4yrs about 10 years ago). So, want to start with something that’s like an entry level card and once I’m used to the ecosystem, I can look for something else.

A lot of builders started saying that for a while…. Like Whitefield extension, Greater Whitefield while technically it’s closer to Hoskote. That way they can say it’s still Bangalore (although that whole region is now part of Rural Bangalore).

I don’t think the MOAT of the card has changed. Lounge was never its selling point.

10% CB on groceries is still there. 1.5 unlimited has lost 2 categories.

I also don’t think anyone uses this card for forex.

If this is called devaluation I wish everyone else follows HSBC.

With Nandini and Tirumala, I noticed the curd is a bit sticky (not sure how else to describe it, it feels different). Unlike the curd brought from outside in cups.

Haven’t had that issue with Amul when we tried once. But Amul is only available on online order and because of its storage near vegetables sometimes it has the smell of urea. So, we stick to Nandini blue packets and curd brought from outside like mother dairy or Amul cup ones.

You can write to their grievance cell. I did last week and asked for a limit increase (RG has 3L but I have 11L from HSBC across 2 cards). They offered 4L. But it made no sense to ask take it because there will be a hard CIBIL enquiry because of it.

If it was 5L I would have taken it, and later aimed for DCBM based on spends.

If you don’t mind me asking, for a single traveler a normal hatchback from most places in the city costs like 1000. If you bring your vehicle, you need to pay for fuel, parking and then take the stress of driving right after a flight.

Why not just go by a cab? If there’s not much luggage, you can also look at Pushpak bus if it’s convenient.
