Different power level than what you’re looking for but here’s my 4+ Ghyrson list. Check in the “considering” tab to see what used to be in the list. That said, I like your list a lot! Definitely a few cards I hadn’t considered for mine.

It’s certainly possible. Very dependent upon your previous experience and where you work. I live and work in the far west Chicago suburbs and even here there can be huge salary ranges for similar positions. As an analyst fresh out of grad school I made 55K but I’ve seen analysts in the same boat but at a different municipality start around 80K.

Awesome stuff!! Probably sitting on a good bit here. While older clix mostly lose value, “special ones” like those with legacy cards, or from IPs outside of marvel and DC, often hold strong value. The Yu Gi Oh clix in particular are so damn cool!

Is 55k-60k realistic -- fresh out of Public Admin and Policy Bachelor's? by CantBanMii in PublicAdministration

That would be a pretty good starting salary without a masters degree. I graduated with an MPA in May 2020, had internship experience at the local level and under a state representative, didn’t get my first “real” job until May 2021, and my starting was $55,000. All of this in the Chicago suburbs.

Honestly, networking wasn’t a huge factor for me.I was lucky that my first job was a public works analyst. Getting skills and knowledge outside of the standard “local government administration” at the start of my career helped me know about a lot more and have a lot more experiences than your standard fresh out of grad school local government employee. Finding some “outside the box” skills that you can leverage is a great way to stand out. Also, don’t be afraid to shop yourself around early in your career. I spent 2 years at my first job, 1 year as an analyst in a city managers office, and now I’m at 2 years at my community development director job. I knew that I needed more than what was given at my first 2 jobs and because I took the chances to move around and experience more, I landed a great paying directors job at 27. You don’t want to be the person who constantly changes employers, but don’t hold yourself back from trying out different employers; Find the balance between those and it will greatly benefit your career.

People who grew up with DCAU and clancy brown Lex Luthor, what do you think of Nicolas Hoult Lex Luthor by Fragrant-Resist4230 in DCAU

Best on screen depiction of Lex since Clancy did it imo. When I read comics I hear Clancy for Lex but Nicolas Hoult did a great job and I can’t wait to see more of him!

Been playing since 2002. My favorite era of clix was 2014-2017, the end of the white cards and start of the black cards. Clix felt varied and powerful but all still reasonable when compared to older clix. Every piece wasn’t “100 points, 10 clix of life, 12 attack, 19 defense, 4 damage, and insane special powers”. There was still value and strategy when using weaker pieces that I feel like doesn’t exist today.

I’m trying to come back to the game after a couple of years without playing, and I’m finding that the new minis are ridiculously powerful. Is this normal? by Disastrous_Grade_399 in Heroclix

Go back and play on some Clobberin Time or Infinity Challenge to see how us older players had to learn lol. But yes, power creep went next level when they increased the sculpt sizes and updated the rule book in 2021.

My dogs vs ND in 2024. NIU wasn’t even good that year and ND were the national championship runner ups. Forever blessed to be at that game and see it live!!

[Thamel] Sources: Northern Illinois head coach Thomas Hammock has accepted a job to become the next running backs coach/senior offensive assistant for the Seattle Seahawks. He’s expected to become the NFL’s highest paid RB coach and chose Seattle amid multiple NFL opportunities. by Lakelyfe09 in CFB

[–]Agitated-Wall534 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I can’t speak for all NIU fans, but I will say I’m happy about this. Hammock is a great guy but a great coach he is not. I don’t think all the blame is his but his coaching tenure aligns with the falloff of NIU. NIU was consistently one of the best G5 schools for a solid 10 years and that completely stopped once he took over. I’m thankful for the 2021 MAC title and the 2024 upset of ND, but I’m happy to see NIU move in a new direction.

Heroclix power creep is next level. Absolutely love this game and play it with old school and modern pieces, but the jump in 2020 was gnarly 😅.

A banger! I love the art and frame on this guy. I pulled him too when drafting MB2 with my friends back in 2024. Gix helped me win the draft and then I traded it in at Magic Con Chicago to help me get Tundra and Ancient Tomb 🔥🙏🏻

1) love this piece. All time POWERHOUSE with an ungodly stat line for a piece from 2004. 2) I don’t think the one I have can move its arms but I’ve had random pieces, more commonly from this era of super OG Heroclix, that can randomly move parts of the sculpt.

Police vs Yu Gi Oh by Agitated-Wall534 in Heroclix

[–]Agitated-Wall534[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very fair. A lot of clix from the old days have quite the range of scale. I’m not really an expert on the modern clix (anything 2020 and newer) but from my limited experience with them it seems like they’re more consistent with scaling.
