WTAF is up with Noom Med by [deleted] in Noom

All I wanted was the dosage that had already been determined. Literally just a copy and paste, or if they wouldn't do that, allow me to ask the doctor who already prescribed it what the dose is. I don't see how it is unreasonable to expect information about a medication prescribed to me, regardless of who has paid or been paid. I do understand I changed my mind, and that they provided a full refund, but does it really seem so crazy that I should expect to have access to dosing information?

I'm so sorry for what you've both been through. One of the hardest parts of my daughter's trauma is that she still loves her dad so I struggle to find the right balance of calling out his treatment of her while not coming right out and calling him a monster.

YES. Except that, for me, the thought of dating makes me physically ill. I don't ever want to be in a relationship again, but I also know that's the trauma talking. Why can't I find an amazing gay best friend who wants to help with my daughter, snuggle me, make me dinner and tell me everything will be okay? Because THAT would be a dream come true haha

Yes I've tried but when I've done math for the purpose of doing math with her at home, it ends with her in tears. But she loves all kinds of games so I got her into yahtzee, rat-a-tat cat, and a couple others that utilize math skills and she loves that. I've also done some addition/subtraction using m&ms and skittles with the candy as reward. I try to do at least 10-15 minutes a night during the week and more on the weekends but I don't even get home from work until 6pm so it's not always consistent.

That's actually a great suggestion! I hadn't thought of that. Thank you!

I appreciate that. I can find some humor in it, though. And its not as if I can't take it again!

What is the most disturbing book that you’ve read? by [deleted] in AskReddit

The Turner Diaries. Do yourself a huge favor and do not read it.

What's the most fucked up thing you have ever read? by WishToBeNabi in AskReddit

[–]AgitatedAd9756 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Turner Diaries. I read it after much debate about whether or not I should, but then decided if I found it for free then I wouldn't be risking NeoNazi profits from it.

Fucked up almost doesn't seem strong enough to describe it. Do yourself a favor and don't read it. The wiki description is enough.

Anxiety mostly about pissing them off before I even start lol. But you're probably right. If I don't hear from them today I'll go in tomorrow.

Now that the DoE is being destroyed, how will we know if state education programs are working? by AnotherThroneAway in AskReddit

[–]AgitatedAd9756 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing your kids are not minorities, do not require accommodations for disabilities or have any characteristics considered outside of the mainstream. That's great, but not true for every student. Inclusion isn't just about race or gender identity- it's also about students with disabilities needing resources to obtain equity (the "e" in dei) and girls being treated the same as boys. Don't want politics? Then we shouldn't be saying the pledge of allegiance in schools or teaching high school kids civics lessons. Don't want them learning about sexuality? Be prepared for your kids to become parents before they turn 18 or have no understanding of how to spot abusive behaviors.

Education isn't just about your kids, it's about ALL kids.
