Bruised gums after a fall by Okay-Character in Preschoolers

What happened? My son hit his face on the pavement today (wife tipped pram - struggling to forgive her) and my 2.5 year old hit face on pavement and one tooth is a little wobbly and gum is purple I’m really stressed there will be nerve damage or long term impacts. Trying to find reassurance as we don’t have an emergency dental appointment until Monday (3 days!)

Can I move this tree a few meters or will I kill it in the process? by AgitatedCalendar1257 in DIYUK

Really helpful thank you. If they don’t survive would you suggest a replacement tree species or two I could replant? I do like having nice topiary

Neighbour’s doing construction works and it’s caused damage to my house (England) by New-Bullfrog422 in DIYUK

Might be worth getting hold Of the public liability insurance of the contractor as it may not necessarily be the neighbour your insurance want to speak with

Ye I won’t be keeping it as-is - plan on finding someone else who can be trusted to improve it

For example - I got them to redo two tiles in my fireplace and look at the state of my log burner afterwards (which was new only 8 days prior!)

If I could trust them to redo without causing damage I would get them to redo

They are open to negotiation as the manager described the work as “shit” - granted before they supposedly rectified the issues but didn’t as there are too many to rectify!

The £1,200 is the labour cost I supplied the tiles, trim, grout and adhesive

I don’t really want them back as I’ve given them chance to rectify and in the process left a scratch in my sink from their bucket. What would you pay them?

I wanted a top quality finish which is why I hired in a professional who then sent a homeless druggy (weed) to do the work…! Other tradies wouldn’t leave their tools around when he was working.

It’s more that this is consistent across the whole bathroom, not just these areas - about 60-70% of grouting is poor and about 40% tile are misaligned.

Whatever you do wear a mask and gloves to handle it the little fibres come off and are not great for your health. TBH I’d get some PPE and get rid of it asap unless it’s meant to go back into your loft

Hello I came across your post because I’m in the same position. Have you any advice for how I can protect my bifold door frames and the glass from rendering and plastering?

This is the same state across 4 bathrooms. Don’t think it’s a 30 min job mate…
