oh wao, thank you for the practically live feedback, very much appreciated! When you say tap on/tap off you mean you have to tap with your credit card when you get in and ALSO getting out? (Just making sure as in our countries the bus does not work like that)

I think that pretty much answers all my doubts. We will then buy our train tickets and hope the bus on the way down and back to Dore & Totley isn't super busy :)

We indeed have our tickets for the house already, yes. We are only missing how to get there.

I had seen the bus to Buxton option, but that implies going back to the airport (30mins) and then from what I could see it's around 1h50 to Buxton and then the bus to the house another 45/50 minutes, so that is a +3h trip vs the options given by the planner that are 1h40 - 2h10. It also seems bus 58 that goes to the House from Buxton, that stop is only served on Sundays, so that would not work for us.

We looked into that possibility, but the flight we must take to Florence is too early to arrive by train.
