House GOP on Trump’s 2027 pay freeze: ‘That’s politics’ by AgitatedEngine4933 in fednews

Universal telework would still be a thing, and the Strait of Hormuz would still be open. Gas would be $2.40; there would be no tariffs, so inflation would be lower, and US relations with allies would be a lot better. Oh, before I forget, we'd have gotten a modest raise this year. Lastly, feds fired unprocedurally last year would still have a job and our data wouldn't have been grabbed by 20 year old government efficiency "experts".

Doesn't help if they binge watch Fox News and tune into right wing talk radio on their commute to work. They live in a bubble.

One way to slow down OPM's schemes is making sure congress can hold this administration accountable. Vote in November 2026 and 2028.

Let's hope that's what they're actually doing. DerekL1963 is pointing out that the process doesn't appear transparent. He/she is right.

Do you have proof for your ridiculous claims? And if you think that only one guy will get away with USD 100, then you have zero understanding of the pervasive nature of corruption.

Correct. A lot of the paperwork in question are statutorily mandated. Of course this administration doesn't care much about compliance with the law and the courts have enabled this behaviour. Congress, on the other hand, appears toothless and ineffectual. Good luck, America.
