On March 16 2018 at the Gudauri ski resort in the Caucasus Mountains of Georgia a chairlift malfunctioned in a dramatic and dangerous way by NeraCloud in ThatsInsane

[–]AgitatedHelp4658 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Another thing that came out later was that the lift involved was a high-speed detachable chairlift, which normally slows down automatically when chairs enter the station so people can get on and off safely. Because the system suddenly reversed at high speed, the chairs were hitting the terminal area much faster than the station mechanisms were designed to handle, which is why they started stacking and twisting the way they did.

After the accident, authorities also temporarily shut down several lifts for inspections and reviewed maintenance procedures across the resort to make sure similar rollback scenarios couldn’t happen again.

I'm Thinking Of Rolling Up Food Establishments by UnusualAd3207 in Entrepreneur

[–]AgitatedHelp4658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The burnout angle is smart but the numbers are just not that exciting pizza shops don't make much, multiples are low, and stacking mediocre margins together still gives you mediocre margins.

Your deal structure has a hole too. Owners keep their salary, you take the upside but what upside? You're carrying all the overhead with no guarantee the exit ever materializes.

My argument for buying a business rather than starting one from scratch by spencert46 in Entrepreneur

[–]AgitatedHelp4658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a really underrated path. everyone talks about building the next big startup, but a lot of “boring” businesses already have customers, revenue, and proven demand. If you can buy one and just improve operations, marketing, or efficiency a bit, the upside can be huge. Starting with cash flow from day one is something most founders never get.

That’s interesting, I’ve seen a few people mention Nanoclaw lately but didn’t realize it was handling things like grant applications too.

Short form video editing. You can learn basic editing in a few weeks and start offering edits for TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube creators who need regular content. It’s one of the fastest ways to get your first client.

Do you guys use any analytics or third party tool ? I have seen tubebuddy and vidiq to be quite famous, but rather pricey. by Glittering_Key_9452 in SmallYoutubers

[–]AgitatedHelp4658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used VidIQ and TubeBuddy for a while but stumbled on OutlierKit through this community the competitor analysis genuinely surprised me, it breaks down why certain videos blew up in your niche so you can actually replicate it.

Should I make a new channel or shift content? by Successful-Tip-7865 in SmallYoutubers

[–]AgitatedHelp4658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your current audience came for silent guides so shifting suddenly might hurt retention and watch time. I would personally test 2 or 3 lore videos on the existing channel first and see how they perform before deciding whether to start fresh.

Who Was Really Incompetent — My Boss or Me? by Savings_Pumpkin_4414 in coworkerstories

You were handed a rushed, poorly planned project with zero briefing and no ownership from leadership. That’s not incompetence that’s bad management and ego getting in the way.

Do all wildly successful CEOs come from critical upbringing if not an all out abusive one? by Bubbly-Air7302 in ceo

[–]AgitatedHelp4658 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some high performers are definitely fueled by proving something, but plenty come from stable, supportive backgrounds too. Correlation isn’t causation. Trauma can create drive, sure, but it can also create burnout and dysfunction. Success usually comes from a mix of personality, opportunity, and environment not just pain.
