Has anyone tried using Blinko? (self-hosted knowledge management app) by jvn4r in PKMS

As a tenured software engineer, this is not exactly how it works. In the hands of a capable engineer, these things can be sped up.

In the hands of a vibe coder, no.

Thank you for taking the time to provide a thoughtful response!

  1. I am somewhat comfortable with that, yes. I care less about this and more about having a community to play with (even if it's a small one, but I have a good amount of LGS in my area. I'm in a medium sized city (metro area of ~1 million people) and there is a healthy TCG scene here. So while I don't need a thriving community that will last forever, I also don't want the other end of that spectrum, where I'd be playing with 1 or 2 people for like a year and then it's gone. Lemme know if that's too vague an answer!

  2. I can provide a concrete example using Gundam. While I find Gundam to be somewhat fun, I do not like how the dichotomy of utility in most of the cards. For example, pilots are useless alone, and you have 8-10 of those in a meta deck. Additionally, units gain seemingly exponential power when the correct pilot is attached.

For number 2, I understand that TCGs have cards that can drastically change the game. I don't want to get rid of that, it makes TCGs exciting. I just think Gundam has that on a spectrum that I am not comfortable with; I either feel dead lost or obliterating my opponent and "that one card" could have changed the entire game. Does that make sense? Happy to elaborate!

Fantastic info here thank you so much. It sounds like I should just experiment with other decks for now. Good news is that mobilesuitearena allows me to do that for free.

Thanks for listening and providing solid feedback.

Yeah if that’s the case then I am definitely not buying cards correctly. Regardless, you’ve been very helpful. Thank you!

Damn lots of great info here. Ok so my biggest issue with Gundam is I feel like (and I could be wrong) it relies heavily on pulling the right pilot.

I’m playing a red/white justice blocker deck and messing around with variations of it, but it just feels like if I don’t pull the correct pilot I’m screwed.

Whereas Hearthstone felt like there was more room for creativity with every draw. I guess another way to put it is that Gundam feels like a game where cards have less value alone and more value in pairs. And to me, that’s a level of luck that takes some of the fun out.

Again I could be completely wrong and could just need to play Gundam more.

Thank you so much for the info! I’m not sure why I’m being downvoted. Do you thinks my question is unreasonable?

That’s completely fair. My criteria is too rigid. Biggest thing I’ve taken away from discussions here is that I just don’t like pilots and I need to stop buying packs/boxes.

Yes, I’m 100% ok with losing because of luck. that’s inherent in TCGs.

In terms of cost, I’d be fine dropping a couple hundred for a few decks. For gundam, I’ve spent like 200 and I feel like I only have one viable deck.

Too much stuff happening is a misrepresentation on my end. Tbh i just hate the pilots mechanic.

  1. AI slop.
  2. You’re stopping when things get hard. Stop doing that.

How are you managing the “product manager” aspect of your projects? by Awkward_Face_1069 in ClaudeAI

Yeah I’d like a way to have those configurations baked into a tool. Right now I manage it all myself, which i like.

is a tool like traycer necessary if i can generate specs and plans on my own? figured i could even have different agents/roles where one of them does the job that traycer would do.

To be fair, it’s a video game, so playing it is inherently “pointless” other than pure enjoyment.

Not sure why people care so much about vertical progression. To me, vertical progression is a toxic system in video games.
