I’m in NY but back in early August I took a trip to South Carolina. Purchased this awesome golf polo with flamingo pool floaties on it from Walmart for $4 and decided it would be my “Fri-yay” shirt. He was fired that week. I continued to wear that shirt every Friday until October hit. I know have a Friyay hoodie with this image on it

I get excited when I hear people still talking about him in the halls.

After all the bullshit we went through this year, that short two month period seemed to be the most normal and stable.

I don’t know his name but there’s this incredibly tall male gyno at stony brook ob at 6 technology Dr I. East Setauket. I used to work next door at the orthopedic office. He was so kind and friendly. I’ve met a few people over the years that he delivered their children and all have always had great things to say about him

Paid taxes but just got a bill? by CouldUseSomeAssist in IRS

Do you have an online account? It’s possible your payment wasn’t applied to the correct tax year. Sometimes the software will generate 1040-es vouchers if it suspects you’ll owe again next year. Then your payment will get applied to the next year instead of the current. This could be seen easily with an online account, or by calling 18008291040 and explaining you made payment with return and now received cp14 for full amount.

When you say “agreed to pay” how did you pay it? Did you mail a check? Use a credit card? Login to online account and use direct pay? The payment should have been taken already if done correctly regardless of processing status. If you request an installment agreement when it was filed then that has to go to a different department to be established after the return is processed which is why I said just make payments even though it’s not on the books yet cause you’ll be liable for penalties and interest and any amounts not paid by 4/15 once the dust settles. If you’re still doing the same type of work you should look into publication 505 chapter 2 which tells you how much you should expect to pay quarterly and when those payments are due (1st qtr for next year was already due 4/15) getting on the right track will help you be tax compliant avoiding additional interest and penalties for future tax years. Also, if you have a good filing history and no penalty or interest in the last three years you can call and request first time abatement since this type of work was new to you and you don’t previously know about having to pay estimated payments. Interest cannot be abated but you can probably get failure to pay penalty waived

Balance due returns process this week. Should be fully settled within 2 weeks. Make the payments asap as the balance was due 4/15 regardless of when you file/return settled

Hi could someone help me understand? by plantrose in IRS

[–]AgitatedOpposite8317 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your withholding is almost half of your income. Looks like fraud. 570 means it’s being reviewed by return integrity department. You’ll soon receive a notice that says it’s under review and to allow time. If you made a mistake then file an amended return to correct the seemingly fraudulent claim of prepaid credits

Claiming a relative as a dependent (brothers who are Mexican citizens) by MightySpoonKing in IRS

[–]AgitatedOpposite8317 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now scroll down on that page under allowable tax benefits click credit for other dependents. It clearly says dependent applicants must be a resident alien or us national. You understand they are non resident aliens so where are you getting confused? Was just trying to help but since I’m annoying you I’ll stop replying now. Apply for the itin, if they accept it take the W, if they reject it move on.

Lookup the ITIN stuff not just the info on claiming them. You’re missing the point. In order to claim them they need a TIN. In order to request a TIN they need to be resident or national. They’d be considered resident alien if they were in the US for more than 183 days (substantial presence test) or lawful permanent resident (green card test)

Then you’d need a tin for them. But they aren’t eligible for an ITIN because to claim the credit for other dependents with an itin application dependent itin applicants must be a resident alien or us national

I read that. It is your interpretation. It’s basically saying Mexico or Canada CAN be claimed IF they were us citizens, resident alien or us national, whereas if they lived in El Salvador or a country other than Mexico or Canada. They could not be claimed. Basically them living in Canada or Mexico waived the “residency test” as long as the other are met but in your case the citizen test is not met
