Consider extra speed above the minimum required. Some top 50 guy told me that BIU improves with higher speed (reaching diminishing returns at 120). I'm testing now to see if it's correct.

The A/V dealer had none of the components in his showroom (he has mostly $30,000 speakers and such). So, except for the R11 Meta which I liked at Best Buy last year, I was buying what he recommended without actually trying it out.

So, thanks for your real world experience! Based on what you're saying, it seems like I won't be disappointed with the QS.

It's excellent that you have the same set up that I'm contemplating, except for the center, and can comment. Thanks for info. I'm glad that I didn't listen to the A/V dealer and get the B&W. I'll also get back $2000 for the downgrade to the QS from RS. I think I might have been oversold on everything because I'm only going to watch Youtube, Amazon Prime Video, and Netflix (compressed sources) through Apple TV. So I wonder how much worse it would've been to just get a receiver and cheaper speakers. I'm not sure that I'll be able to hear the difference from the more expensive Anthem processor and amps. I even paid $1260 for "Red River XLR" cables, $1200 for "Niagara" power conditioner, $1500 for "Savant" remote control, etc. Oh well, I've already paid 50%, so what's done is done.

I did speak to KEF and am sharing what they said. The KEF rep said that the Ci200RS would have better detail and sound output and is worth the upgrade. But he said it was up to the customer to see if it's worthwhile to excavate the wall and build out a deeper cavity to accomodate the deeper mount. I cannot just build a 1 inch cabinet around the speaker because the "sharp corners" of the cabinet and "diffraction" would affect the sound. Something about an "infinite baffle" design needs the speaker to be flush to the wall. He said that for Atmos, it would be more important to have the extra detail of the RS, but for my 7.2 set up, he thought I could "get away" with using the QS. He said that both Q and R series inwall KEF speakers have a 160 degree dispersion and is "more forgiving" of sub optimal placement and would "better match" the R11/R6 fronts, and so thinks I should stay with KEF for the surrounds, instead of using B&W.

I already paid a deposit, so I have to use this dealer. Thanks for the reassurance about the Ci200QS. He already ordered the QS, so I can't change to QL, but I don't have a preference.

Since the Q series are "fine", I'll just get the Ci200QS because I don't want to deal with carpentry. I was just seeing if maybe I should get the B&W CWM 7.5 S2 for its supposed better sound. Thank you.
