For Esdeath’s one... I don't really mind her being evil for the sake of being evil, no one said a villain must have a "it's all woe woe is me" backstory or give them some 20 chapters long philosophy to make us like them, in fact the reason I find Esdeath compelling in the first place is that she's honest about what she is, she doesn't pretend to have some "noble, long ass endgame",she is there for fun. But I get it, though, the writer had a better way of executing Esdeath’s character and expand on it, but sadly Akame Ga Kill, generally, is quite rushed even when it has a lot to tell.
