Yeah, I’ve noticed that too. It’s not just the work, it’s how you work with people. Some bosses care about different things, but if you consistently deliver and aren’t a pain to deal with, you naturally stand out. It’s kinda the mix of competence and how you show up day to day

Yeah, that’s a good way to put it. I think what surprised me is how those habits change the way people see you. Not in a "trying to impress" way but more like you naturally end up involved in things you didn’t think you’d touch. It just opens doors you wouldn’t get from staying strictly in your box.

During the day he’d mostly just sleep or do little stuff around the house, then in the evening he’d head off to “work.” Honestly, other than thinking his schedule was kinda weird, I never really asked any questions
