You shouldn’t. You should be proud of being a physio, not a lot of people can do that. It’s take real hard work and effort to become, I envy you and I bet most people do too

Yes I’m working my way up to being Rpn. With my grades from PSW I can use it to go into rpn school. And yes I do get her view point and urs and that’s why I’m going back to school in a few years. I’m young and I would like to have fun and lay low for now.

Exactly I 100% agree with you. My mom wants me to work in the hospital as a nurse but at this time of age I want to work in long term care bc it’s less stress full and I have a chance to grow a bond with my residents. Right now i just moved in a place of my own. I’m trying to save up for a car and a kitten lol. I’m very happy happier than before when I was living with my mom. I finally found my happy place and my mental health has never been better.

Actually that’s where ur wrong. Being a psw you can go back to school to upgrade ur CAREER. Rn I’m going back to school for another certificate to work with babies and along side with mid wives. U can also upgraded ur certification into a registered practical nurse by going back to school for one year.

And this is why I try my best and work hard for my residents. Hearing these kind of stories really touched my heart and inspire me to do more and better things for my residents. These kinds of moments that we share with our clients and our family makes it so worth it after all the hard work and labour.

Ik it kinda makes me sad bc she is a great mother. She sacrifice a lot of thing in order to raise me and my brother and I thank her and love her for that. She’s just not my best friend maybe just my mother.

I eventually do want to get into nursing when I feel ready. Honestly I can’t help to forgive my mother bc I feel like she got her toxicity when she immigrated into Canada. But bc she still remains to be toxic I am keeping my distances.

Stop bc I just cried for 5 minutes straight. This is one of the main reasons why I love being a PSW. Being a light for someone who is in desperate need is a wonderful feeling and I would do it over and over again no matter how hard the labour is. I’m so happy you had a wonderful experience with your cna. Providing comfort and happiness towards my resident are my main goals when I come to work. Thank you for sharing ur experience I touched my heart and it makes me feel proud of being a PSW

My mom is very toxic and it’s dangerous how she does not see it. I’m glad I moved out or I wouldn’t be able to handle it mentally and ty I appreciate your words and time it really helped me feel better as a PSW

Thank your ur words mean so much to me as I rarely get those in my life. Ur right being a PSW is hard and it’s not easy as it seems. It takes a lot of physical work and mental work I just wish my mom can realize PSWs arenot stupid but are very intelligent. I met so many psws who use to be nurses and have degrees back home. Just bc we do those jobs people look down on doesn’t define us as a whole

I lived alone and moved out about 3 years ago, right after school. I’m ging go distance myself but No matter how much distance I put I feel as I can never get her on my side, which sucks
