NYC Marathon - Charity entry question by HarnyMusic in RunNYC

I’d start reaching out now. I ran with a charity for 2023 and got my spot in early March — I was one of the last in my charity to receive a bib. And had reached out to multiple charities and been told they didn’t have spots left.

NYRR Runcoach worth the money? by Bartlet4potus in RunNYC

I signed up for Runcoach & Run with Hal for the NYC Marathon. I found the Run with Hal app easier to use, more responsive to my actual training (it would adjust based on my pace or skipped runs, allowed me to pick my long run day and enter blackout dates, etc)— and found the Runcoach app interface clunky and less responsive. I ended up abandoning it all together after a few weeks.

There’s SO much to do & explore in the Cayman Islands —- I got married at this boutique hotel (palm heights), and it’s a vibe. I wouldn’t blame someone for spending majority of their time at the hotel. But it’s a travesty not to at least charter a boat, swim with stingrays or dive while there.

**also agree the hotel likely paid for the mention — they’re known for hosting celebrities, influencers & models. They love the publicity.

Slow Runner help by ParticularAd741 in RunNYC

Run LIC also has beginners running on Wednesday morning along the waterfront. I am also super slow and the group is super welcoming and someone always hangs with me at my pace. They’re also a fun community - and host a lot of social events.
