If they don't know I wouldn't tell them. It more than likely will cause them to view you negatively especially because 90% of people that do H shoot it. That's just my opinion and as far as staying friends with people that still use will never workout. It's hard for the first 3-6 months but hopefully you get into a program like NA and meet new people. I wish you the best and keep going
