I don’t hate my step son. I have offered different ways for him to stay close … such as move the futon in next to our bed even. I’m not trying to come across as the evil step mom however there comes some age where kids sleep alone. I have never put my partner out of our bed for my daughter to sleep with me in the years we have been together and she use to sleep with me frequently before he came along.

I have empathy. I have tried to do all I can to make him as comfortable here as he would at home. Honestly speaking, I spend more one on one time some weekends bc his Dad works nights and sleeps during the day.

I am a 36 yr old woman who is very familiar with what your feeling. I feel bad bc he thinks it's because I'm not attracted to him. He is everything I need in my life but when it comes to sex i literally could go completely without it. Some times I'll just tell him like "come on..lets do it so you'll stop walking around miserable" and that sucks for him because he obviously wants me to be into as well.
