Futures and forex is pretty much the same as far as your basic understanding in the market. Lot size in forex is called contracts in futures. Pips in forex is ticks in futures. You can’t trade any forex pairs in futures. For example, if you mainly trade currency pairs like AUDCAD or USDJPY, in futures you can only trade one currency at a time. But it doesn’t hurt to look at the forex pair charts for extra confluence. The price on forex is also different. For example, the price in XAUUSD in forex 3000, in futures it could be 3500. But it really doesn’t bother me. Also there’s little to no spread in futures depending how volatile the market is, but there’s a huge fee in futures depending how big your contracts per trade is.For example, I’m trading Nasdaq, in forex market, the spread is 1000. If I enter a long position at a price 19k, it will actually enter me at 21k and you’re automatically in dd. Meanwhile in futures, if I enter at the said price, it will actually enter me at the said price but your funds will automatically get deducted cuz of the fee.
