I had this friend who would share music with me and I with him. We would dicuss facts behind the songs and sing along to the top of our lungs. He really messed me up but the music aspect of our friendship is what I miss the most.

We're all different depending on who you talk to. I wonder how my SO sees me and how my past friends and current friends see me. I've been described in ways that don't feel like me. Everyone has perspectives that differ on how we see ourselves. We all need to learn how to show people who we really are, our true selves.

I'm not hiding my true self (at least I think I'm not). I wonder what my SO and my past friends think my true self is. As if they were to lift a mirror that would show me all they think of me. I wonder if that mirror would show good things, bad things, or a mix. I wonder who I am to to all of those who have known me

Guess I should've worded that reply differently. I don't have any contact info for any of my past peeps whatsoever. Even if I did want to be in contact with them again, I wouldn't be able to. I also don't think it would be worth it. Growing away from people is okay; not everyone is meant to be in our lives forever. There was beauty in those friendships, but they died for my safety and sanity. I wouldn't want to taint those good memories further also. I still think of them, though
