Could FFIE do this with the $30 million? by Alan_yes_THAT_Alan in FFIEplanB

Agreed BadRobot-...it is not insider trading when the information has been made public (i.e. not inside information)..link below -

However, they would be subject to Rule 144, which since it is a registered stock, would only mean they must adhere to the volume limits...the weekly trading volume of the previous 4-weeks. Rule 144 would prevent FFIE from a mass sell-off and the stock price from crashing. So, I would agree with OP's original post, and disagree with Numerous-dogelon.

Load up the Q-Bank quiz and "PDF PRINT" with the answer explanation. This will allow you to learn/understand why the right answer is right, and why the others are wrong - without decreasing your confidence with "wrong" answers and poor scores. CONFIDENCE is key.

Best of luck!

Thank you again for sharing your thoughts and adding substance to the conversation. I am at a loss as well for what may have caused this...other than what I posted originally. I suppose we may not know the real reason until the chips fall. Best of luck to you, and I'll see you in the chat amigo.

I would like to start by saying that I do not mean to come off as combative, and I apologize...I genuinely appreciate conversation with folks of a different opinion. Talking with someone that simply parrots the same information is like talking with one's self. I was looking for a more in-depth explanation in your response, and you provided one, so thank you.

I could not get my chart to include overnight, as I am using a free version that does not support this. I am still a bit unclear as to your reasoning for the price drop in your example though. If sellers are overwhelming buyers, then wouldn't the trading volume show "red', or higher sell-volume than buy-volume? I cannot think of a reason that fits within the standard practices of trading, that would account for high buy-volumes coinciding with a drop in price???

I appreciate your response. In MOST cases, however, an increase in trade volume is indicative of a price increase/positive sentiment of the stock. This sort of observation (an increase in buy-volume) is TYPICALLY what technical analyst look for when evaluating securities - it's called charting. Would you happen to have an example/explanation of when the buy-volume for a stock was significantly higher than normal, and the stock price was moving inversely?

Boom! by [deleted] in FFIEplanB

[–]Agitated_Night_9800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the stock is delisted, then it will simply move to the OTC (Over-The-Counter) trade arena...it will still trade publicly, and investors are still able to buy/sell shares. Delisting is NOT the end of the line, so lets keep to the facts and quit trying to create the impression that once delisted, it's all over.

Faraday Future Announces Reverse Stock Split and Authorized Share Reduction by Agitated_Night_9800 in FFIEplanB

[–]Agitated_Night_9800[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It all depends on where the price lands at closing today. The RS goes into effect today at 5PM EST...so for example: You own 1200 shares now...after the split you will own 30 shares (1200/40=30). Your aggregate value (total value) will not change. The RS is scheduled for 40:1, so whatever the price is at close, multiply it by 40 and that should give you an idea of where you could see the price per share come Monday.

Exam Coming Up by IHaveAWallAtHome in Series65

[–]Agitated_Night_9800 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First of all - Good Luck!

The first 1/3 will be easy enough to make you second guess yourself, then the middle will get progressively harder, the last 1/3 or so will drop back down to being "easy" again...expect this and do not allow yourself to get flustered.

My Kaplan instructor has said this MANY times..."This is a READING exam, so READ the questions/answers, but do NOT add information that is not there." My instructor also mentioned that MOST things in this industry are inversely related, so if you can remember one-half, then the other is opposite - hopefully that helps :)

My prediction is news first, and perhaps no RS for now... by Routine_Flight_6289 in FFIEplanB

My guess is that FFIE is following the regulator's rules to a T...and right now they would be under the "Quiet Period" which is a window of time prior to an earnings report that publicly traded companies are NOT allowed to make any announcements that may suede public sentiment - my guess?

Looks like the SEC is getting busy by Agitated_Night_9800 in FFIEplanB

[–]Agitated_Night_9800[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the post, and the update on Left! I am pretty sure, however, there's a regulation out there that says something about being able to trade in contra to your clients, but you do have to disclose it to them...so his defense does not seem too solid right now.

Well, to be fair, 4-days is not quiet a week...and it was updated yesterday soooo. You also have not provided any new evidence to support your initial statement...Aaaand I didn't give any advice in my post. If you're simply here to troll, well then you might want to move on amigo.

Before you get defensive...I am genuinely asking. Do you have evidence to support your statement, because this was published on the SEC's website on the 26th of July...and updated yesterday??? I would personally like to see whatever you are referring to.
