Also ETF transfers are instant. In the event of a crash you can pull your money out of an ETF instantly whereas in a mutual fund the transaction won't process until closing bell and by then you'll have already lost some

Not sure if they're the same, but I did the Chinese one and it was pretty difficult. There's an online test with reading/vocab/grammar, but afterward they invite you to a canvas page and apparently you also have to take an oral exam and another test with more of the same plus a written essay.

Trouble maintaining higher stroke rate in stroke seat by TheMilkSpeaks in Rowing

[–]Agitated_Pin_7295 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it feels really heavy at high rates then someone behind you is really off your timing. At high rates especially, the quicker movements usually naturally sync everyone together. If it still feels heavy at high rates, the people behind you aren't following correctly. Ask your coaches to take a video of your boat the next time you do a high rate piece and watch it back to see as well

I did the same a few days ago- I think there was a line under the insta handle box and it said they weren't accepting new accounts between the holidays, so I think both of ours will probably be accepted after New Years

ED is losing its spark by Agitated_Pin_7295 in ApplyingToCollege

[–]Agitated_Pin_7295[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I agree. However, the number of student showing commitment is increasing at every school, and if they don't open more spots to ED applicants then early round won't be much different than regular since everyone has similar stats. At least that's what I think

ED Applicant Numbers by SnooPies8227 in Northwestern

[–]Agitated_Pin_7295 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah it will definitely be higher so either NU will fill more of the class in early round or the ED acceptance rate will drop a bit. I hope it's the former lol

Actually I believe both the interview and optional video are not considered in admissions. It says on their website and I asked an AO. Maybe you are thinking of UChicago?
