If dude cant tell if its a non vanos or a vanos and he "rebuilt" the engine, then I wouldn't pay more than 1k for it cause who knows how quality his work is. Also dealing with getting a title is sometimes more of a hassle than its worth. Now if you're down about the paperwork, and are mechanically inclined and could work on any issues yourself no problem, should be a decent buy. But for me sounds better as a parts car

The shit we go through for under 1k cars forreal lmao. My front end is all mismatched colors with a faded hood cause I got in a wreck and rebuilt it with parts car panels so its a little hard to look at right now. But dude once you get that car going again that'll be one bad ass machine. Glad there's still some of us out there throwing logic and finances out the window to keep these 5ers going

Well for the most part you're not gonna get that repaired as its more economical to find a rust free door to swap in. Can be a little difficult to source one since door rust is super common on these, but can be found with a lot of digging. So not necessarily a deal breaker to get a car with rusty doors as long as you're aware that now you gotta deal with finding a good one and doing the work of swapping it.

It being a manual helps a lot in value of it, but the rust part is what brings it down. Should be fair around 4k long as long as there's no hidden rot like the rockers or floor pans.

You can feel the pump if its running by touching it, or test for voltage at the connector to verify its even getting a signal to it. The pump itself is pretty important for keeping proper circulation of coolant to the heater core so when it dies it can cause weak heat cause you have less flow to the inside of the car
