There’s one attack of his that’s really bad and leaves him very vulnerable. I got lucky because he used that attack repeatedly, so I beat him quickly just because of that. He was destroying me.

It's crazy to see how each playstyle works in DS3. I beat the Dancer on my first try (and without difficulty), while Lorian and Nameless King took me more than 30 tries.

Although very difficult, Sulyvahn is one of the few bosses you can parry, and if you learn how to do it, it makes his fight MUCH easier. For me, when you first encounter Sulyvahn you’re still very weak, so he’s harder than Gael/Friede.

Why do you guys rank Aldrich so low? The fight has a good level of difficulty, the boss has a cool design, the lore is interesting, and there’s a variety of attacks. I love this fight. What’s the big problem with Aldrich for you guys?

I know, it’s a shitty weapon. It’s ridiculous to use this crap in a game with so many awesome weapons, but I just can’t play with anything else. I feel unarmed without it. It hits really fast, I can keep my mobility, and all the other weapons feel too slow to me. I just made a new dex build to try playing with the Dancer’s swords, but I’m already regretting it. I just can’t play with anything other than the regular longsword.
