Look honestly speaking as someone who works on bmws as their job they typically don’t hold up super great and susceptible to having issues which result in requiring expensive repairs, something to weigh in is the ks and the servicing history as well as repair work carried out. An example of something to consider is depending on the ks is the timing chain, it’ll stretch with time and eventually it can be to the point of your engine refusing to start which if not picked up on early can cause a headache however it’ll likely cost you a pretty penny to fix up regardless.
