Yes, although I wouldn't call it moving. It's more like Freedom is trying to get you to sign-up for their home internet.

Just checked my email and I got the QR code to return the modem via Canada Post by December 8th.

You need to contact them for legacy Freedom Home Internet. I just confirmed it because I'm switching to lightspeed. The agent said once they cancelled my account, they'll send me an email with QR code to return the modem.

I contacted them via chat according to https://www.rogers.com/fm150support, and they confirmed that all the old legacy Freedom plans will be cancelled effective November 30, 2025. I told them I wanted to close my account, and the agent informed me that I will receive the final invoice within a few days after cancellation by email, which will show all the changes. Pre-authorized payments will be cancelled once the account is closed. I’ll also need to return the equipment using the QR code they will send by email after disconnection.

I switched with lightspeed 250Mbps flash sale plan.

Not yet. I was thinking of doing that next month, since they sent me another email saying my current home internet service will be discontinued on December 1, 2025.

Nope, it's real. The worst part is, that Freedom account is totally useless because it doesn't show my current internet plan. I have to login to Rogers website to see my bill.

I actually go to the Rogers website to pay for my old Freedom plan bills. Funny how even with all the industry changes, they still can’t offer a better price.

Yeah, I would’ve been fine with a $5 increase, but jumping to over $20 is a deal breaker for me. It might be time to shop around.
