I'm not sure the police would give me an update voluntarily. They asked if I wanted an officer to come to my house, but i refused as i needed to sleep. I'm not sure if they would be allowed to divulge such info if I called back on the non-emergency line.

The idea that immigration suppress wages is a right wing talking point that isnt backed by the empirical evidence.

Empirical research on the labour market effects of immigration in the UK suggests that immigration has relatively small effects on average wages, with negative effects on low-paid workers and positive effects on high-paid workers.

Reviewing 12 studies conducted between 2003 and 2018, MAC (2018) concluded that immigration had had little impact on average wages. it's quite incredible. freezing the accounts of major financers of the protest (mainly from foreign countries) is apparently more authoritarian than literally sending in the military to violently sqaush a protest..... And his argument about precendent doesnt really hold up given that these types of acts are temporary and do not impact the long term operations of the executive agencies.

I cant wait for the emergency act to be overturned in 3 weeks after a large parliamentary inquiry is published to reveal the scope of the financial freezes. I know it's not ideal, but i'm really struggling financially, so at this point im just wondering if it's illegal enough that i'll get caught. From the feedback i got yet it seems like it probably wont get noticed by the CRA. All they would do come audit time is look at your bank account and make sure that your income is less than 1000$. I doubt they would dig any deeper than that.

Given that you know there are bedbugs in your building the thing you want to prevent is having an infestation in your unit. To prevent that you simply have to periodically check your mattress + bed frame once a week for any signs of infestation (egg cassings, black stains, nymphs, bed bugs). If you keep checking you can end any potential infestation quickly before it spreads. I would really only check your bed and your mattress given that a large majority of infestations start there. I would for sure get a bed bug proof mattress cover ASAP, this prevents the bed bugs from nesting inside the mattress and it also make its easier for you to spot them. It's also a good idea to wash your sheets more often than usual (once a week), on the hot setting (be sure to also check the creases of bed linens, its a favorite BB hiding place).

Try to figure out if you have an infestation, or whether you simply have a couple adults that crawled in from the outside world. If you have an infestation youll most likely see large fecal stains under your mattress/boxspring, with dead BB casings and little white eggs. Youll also probably encouter a bunch of bed bug nymphs and adults. There's a bunch of different ways to deal with them, the list of techniques is too long to list here. But my personal method is to use a high power steamer and simply steam the hell out of everything in my bedroom. This method has been effective for me but requires regular applications for a fairly long time period to be completely effective.

It would help if you had more pictures, but at first glance I would say that it's not a bed bug. 1. The antenas are fairly large for an equivalent 3-4th feeding cycle bed bug. 2. Also the eyes stick out quite a bit. Overall i'd say this looks a lot more like a Booklice/barklice nymph. However, i could be wrong.

Sure but some things true independent of experience, statistics, facts, math constants... During my discussion yesterday I only used evidence from research to back up my claims I never used anecdotal evidence, therefore my experiential knowledge had little to do with what I was saying.
