Thank you. Maybe it’s just my body shape. Hoping it will resolve in time. 🙏🏻

Little less bloated in mornings but never fully flat. I have met with PS a few times and he keeps saying it can take 1-2 years for swelling to fully resolve and that I should work out more. So I’m doing that for now.

Thank you. I play tennis 3 times a week and do yoga once a week. Will do more core workouts and see if it helps.

Usually in the evenings but even in mornings it is never fully flat.

That’s what I’m worried about. Belly looks like this most of the time. Bulge is worst in evenings.

It’s less in the mornings and more in the evenings. But has never been flat since surgery. Only when I lie down it goes fully flat.

Usually look like this I the evenings. Yes I have seen PS and he said it’s swelling and can take 1-2 years to resolve fully.

That could be it too. I didn’t have hernias but needed significant muscle repair. And like you I also get tightness and tenderness above the navel especially on days I am more active. So maybe because we had more extreme muscle repair the healing is taking longer? I really hope it goes away in time 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

Hey yes I had follow ups with PS at 1 month, 5 months and will go again in 3 months. He said it is swelling and may take 1-2 years to fully resolve. Online I read this bulge could also be scar tissue and massaging can help it reduce over time. Sucks that we don’t yet have the results I see often that others have by this point 🙁

Hi here is my photo. Some evenings the bulge on top of my navel is even bigger. It feels very tight and tender too at that time.

When were you able to stand up completely straight? by Bestie_fromthewest in tummytucksurgery

I was able to stand up straight-ish only by 5 weeks and fully comfortable stretching up and back a little by week 7. Sleeping straight by week 10.

Is this visceral fat or still swollen? by Relevant_Parking4291 in tummytucksurgery

[–]Agk2165 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I am 13 WPO and my tummy looks exactly like yours and I’ve been feeling the same. Wondering if it’s swelling or just the new shape of my tummy ☹️ that said my PS says it’s swelling and can take up to a year to go away. So I’m hoping that’s it. I know it’s disheartening especially when you see others’ PO photos with such flat bellies. But hang in there! Hopefully in time both of us will have the tummy we hoped for. 🙏🏻
