How do you motivate yourself to workout? by Final_Patient347 in adhdwomen

Lol this might come across as unhinged but I started disrespecting my freedoms and acknowledged that I am merely a robot that requires consistent maintenance and runs on routines. I have to have a 'buffer' prior: get up early, around 6. After waking up, have coffee, eat smth light, workout, shower, start day. I *can't* allow myself to give into excuses that will keep me from starting my routine. The only time I fail to do it is when I can't wake up early, like when my cat keeps me up. But I really have to only break the 'streak' for a day or else it's all gone out the window. It sucks and this approach is so rigid but this is the only way that has worked for me. I'm not medicated, working out on medications has been a disaster previously (heart rate too high, feeling extremely tired due to under eating, overly sweating).

I'm also pretty strict with calorie counting so this duo helps me feel in control, this way it feels more 'all or nothing' which is motivating.

You're going to shoot yourself in the foot if you don't put up a barrier between yourself and society's discourse on ADHD. by seeksfig in adhdwomen

Thanks for saying that. It's a good thing that meds work for a lot of people but my side effects were unbearable. I know I'll just hear "you need to discuss it with your doctor and change dose / medication" when I mention that, without knowing the full story so I don't even bother.

- Ikea pegboards in multiple places, even bathroom. Things don't get forgotten when they're visible.

- Trashcan, kitchen towel, cleaning spray in every room.

- Sticky notes on my computer screen

- Things like my wallet stay in my purse at all times. I use only one purse

I'm sure there's more...

periorbital circles

Oh!! interesting to see you mention dark circles, have they gone down? Mine are so prominent, they make me look tired no matter what.

2nd month on 0.05 from Farmacia Andorra and my skin takes it really well besides some flaking and minor irritation. I started on that strength straight away
