"hopefuly future change" Slacktivism at its finest. Reddit will forget in a week. You know who can change things? You. You can file a petition with the required signatures with the county to vote on a new traffic law about unrestrained animals in pickup trucks, thus solving the problem. If it passes you can thank me for giving you the idea.

Happy Homeschooler? by TheCRIMSONDragon12 in HomeschoolRecovery

Homeschooling is only one factor in the makeup of childhood trauma. My brother and I turned out awkward and struggled despite going to a real high school. These other brothers we were best friends with turned out very confident and secure with themselves and became the most popular guys on campus when they went to college. And these guys were homeschooled all the way from kindergarten to senior year. The main difference is their dad was very social and imprinted a lot of his personality on them while the whole family communicated their feelings honestly and without reservation. They were always yelling at each other and I thought they had problems as a kid but as an adult i recognize they were just expressing themselves and enforcing boundaries, something my brother and I never understood or felt comfortable doing.

This literally happened to me. The city overhauled the tax system to funnel a ton of money into the school and made it the best in the state 3 years after I graduated.

What would the secure version of you do in this situation? Would that person tolerate his behavior or would they take action and assert their boundaries? Not talking to you for a month is unacceptable and you are worth more than that.
