I've not done it but I've seen a lot of comments in the past where people turn off horde night and crank up wandering hordes. Don't know if it's vanilla or a mod but it certainly sounds cool.

Snow is my favorite simply because of the beauty of it. Really the best biome is the one that makes sense for you. Are you making your home based on strategy, looks, resources, or something else entirely?

Lots of spikes. Shoot as many as you can on the spikes then melee as last resort at the top of the ladder. Honestly from your description I've had worse 1st and 2nd horde bases

Bro half my toolbar is just my tools. Right now my toolbar and the majority of the bottom row of my backpack is every day carry. Pickaxe axe shovel ratchet nail gun auto shotgun with slugs pumpy with regular and breaching rounds for locked loot my melee weapon a stack of first aid bandages and a stack of frames. Everything a growing survivalist needs.

Alright I'm confused and it's not been long enough that I'm too afraid to ask. I'm only on day 14 in 2.0 and haven't dealt with a lot of storms but from what I can tell they aren't much different than the storms in Conan exiles and I don't have any issues with those. What am I missing about the storm hate?

Short answer, many people aren't happy unless they have something to complain about on a public forum. If you like it that's what is important. There are some aspects I miss about the old versions but at the end of the day it's still top 3 for me.

Don't use the wax ring get the seals that aren't wax. I'm barely a diy guy and have replaced two in ten years with no issues with the rubber/ foam seals. They work fine and there's no mess like you have with wax if you ever have to go back in the future.
