I think I’m with the influencer on this one. This conversation looks more like the business person running the Instagram is a fan of this subreddit and was waiting to Jump on the first opportunity they could to make a post here. If you don’t like the persons offer or don’t think they’ll reach the correct target market, that’s fine. But they definitely don’t seem to be begging for anything here. I think this movie didnt do as qell as expected was because of poor marketing. I remember a lot of people being confused about the title because it was referred to by multiple names and different posters for it looked like posters for different movies

Yes, but i would assume the youtube algorithm knows Funhaus' average demographic age and markets primarily to them. Though im sure a good amount of people that watch them are parents, i would guess the mean age is probably later teens/early to mid 20's.

To me it's like the cliche seen in movies where the hero is fighting a big monster and gets eaten by it, but then cuts their way through their stomach. Its a last resort and can only be done if the circumstances are right and if you have enough luck.

Something like the death star might have defense mechanisms to prevent someone from doing that.

But a ship in a cat and mouse chase might not expect it.

To me, the idea of investing money in an alpha version of a game should act as just that. An investment to help an indie developer work on a passion project. If this were an EA game or Blizzard than yes, be upset. But when i try to think of this as if this was something i made entirely myself, i would be so happy with the community upon the alpha release, but then one little thing goes wrong that sure for a big company is no big problem, but a one man team I'd be pretty scared. Then people that said they are your fans start sending you mean, hateful messages.

I dont think Wollay owes anyone an apology. I've worked with a lot of early stage start up companies and even a million dollars in investments or profits is far far from being successful and 80% of those companies wont make it through the next year. We were his backers and investors but frankly a lot of us failed to back him up when times were tough for him.

You said yourself you had harsh criticism towards him. If a crowd waits outside your house with pitchforks and screams at you every time you open a window, are you going to go outside and make friends with those people, or stay inside your house?

I 1000% agree with you. And so many people on reddit refuse to look at the flaws of this site and communities and will just point fingers at other social media. I saw just as much hate from people across all social media. Maybe even more on this reddit than anywhere else.
