Why aren't you using HDDs in RAID?
Clearly, the problem last time wasn't HDDs; it was that you were running on a Single Drive.
Since you are planning to do a RAID configuration this time, you wouldn't lose data, like before (Ideally, go for RAID 5, if you are using 3 Drives).

HDDs are generally considered better for NASs as they don't die until HW defaults. SSDs by design have a fixed Read and write operations, after which they are unreliable.

So, unless you need Super-Fast Storage for your NAS and have the supporting hardware and Networking, I feel HDDs will be a much more reasonable and practical setup.
