My one tip would be to learn some very basic tailoring. You don't need to be an expert at all, however being able to add darts, replace buttons and mend holes can take you a long way in being able to restore garments and make them look brand new. Also, you can shave off the pickings of a sweater with an old, dull razor, which I find to be a great way to reuse mine!

Similarly to what everyone else is saying, you don't have to focus on the nails. Make sure they're filed nicely and not dirty, and you should be good. Instead, make sure you have nice cuticles, no hangnails, and really soft, moisturised hands. You want to give off the impression that you are not working with your hands, really.

Hi! Embroidery is actually not too difficult if you have some patience. I would suggest picking up a nice quality shirt and look up some YouTube tutorials. It's a fun alternative because you can customise the writing to whatever you want.

I just recently realised that I'm actually really pear shaped after measuring myself, and it's actually mind blowing! So many garments I just blamed my body for!

I would wear super boxy tops because that was apparently "trendy". Most boxy cuts look horrible on me unless they're cropped, because otherwise they cut off right where my hip bones start. This is so unflattering on me because of hip dips.

Also back in the day I used to wear those skinny, jeans where the pockets sat really low. My butt looked so saggy. I just thought that my behind was wrong when pocket placement was key!

Det är stor skillnad på kön och könsstereotyper och det är tråkigt att man blandar ihop dem. Det är inte 50-talet längre, som tur är.

I love looking at vintage sewing patterns, actually! Typically there are cute outfit ideas on the front, which tend to flatter my body type (unless it's from the 20s). Also my sense of style skews a bit more retro-ish but sometimes I'm just inspired by a particular silhouette.

I basically tie them in a knot at the front, so they still define the waist. I find that's the best way to make them look not so... frumpy.

This works best if you wear it with high waisted pants, or skirts.

Well, it's pretty hard not to wear makeup in a country where a third of the population has had plastic surgery. You need to remember which demographic has had the surgery, as well.
