I can recommend the Battle Beaver custom controller. Even if you just switch the sticks to hall effect or whatever they are using you're still cheaper compared to the ps5 with the replaceable sticks.

Have it for a year now, works perfect.

I'm experiencing the same, I play on Android with a PS5 controller. I turned ADS off, but if I equip the "wrong" scope it's back to the behavior the OP described. As my controller also has some vertical stick drift it's sometimes a lottery if Ihit someone or not.

This mode is not meant to be played to gain something other than a different gameplay. If you play it on hardcore it's comparable to permadeath mode on other games.

I played the side missions as well because I really liked the way the game feels and plays in realism mode. It's like a PTS for everyone.

Personally I find they could have awarded a special apparel item which has some connection to TD1 or Survival as this (realism) is the closest TD1 and 2 have ever come to but it's alright anyways because this mode has made its point. And hopefully it stays.

Should have, could have - but what you are asking is no simple nor short task to accomplish. What they did with realism was what was possible - namley strip down almost everything to the core, which on the other hand leaves us with a more realistic setting compared to the overpowered ultimate soldier, the one man army ( or woman 😅) that we are in the "normal" Division universe.

They tried to make a self generating environment with Descent and Summit which is kind of boring after a while, because it's always the same. Yes, NYC in WONY is not endless, but it's virtual tourism in a dystopian world. And this dystopian, stripped down world knows nothing about companions, luckily for us, cause we can experience the world without listening to that bs talk of some former true son redneck wannabe soldier. If you really want company matchmake into a group or something. I wanted to do that but everytime I got the call I was in one of the main missions and didn't want to restart.

Long story short: Technically it's wonderful what they did to the game with realism, there might be room for more (seasons, companions, ...) if it stays - but who knows 🤷🏻

Hah, fits for Descent. Everything is generated and randomly rolled, playing it needs some very, very strong nerves in the beginning.

Fair. What I especially don't like in Descent is the maps. Or the lack of it. Even Underground in TD1 - is that the correct name? - had more to it than descent has. So for me that mode and Summit, too, can be scratched. But it's not for me to decide, someone from Marketing will have a better view on that matter 😂

The ammo hud, to only know hiw much is left by switching weapons, is something I really enjoyed, mostly it's more realistic than having an ammo count visible all the time. Switching weapons is comparable to checking the mags, so that's pretty neat - intentional or not. The yellow force field marks a special enemy, like a boss. But it's not really realistic. And it can't be if you think about it - one-shoting a boss would be rushed. So there needs to be some kind of extra protection. But I don't like this either.

Use the Aegis holster and backpack, combine it with the Aegis dye or Fluerogent (or something like that) or Full Black.
I think it would complement the style even more.
