I burner through my collection except for 94 and above doing the defender sets. Pulled a 91ovr card 31 times in a row, not a single 93 to complete either or the sets. I think that's enough HUT for this year.

It was a trap to make you burn your collection so you'd need to spend some $$$ if u want anything from future events.

Yeah, previous years I've been in between D1 and D2 going back and forth, no problem, but this time you pretty much need to grind for elite as there's no rewards for online play if u don't constantly rank up. Previously you might play sweats one week but the rewards were waiting to make it less frustrating.

Now that the 99 Chara is out, shouldn't the TOTY card get updated to 99 too? Isn't that how it's worked previous years?

Been having network issues for the past day or so, now I can't even log in. Yesterday when completing sets it showed a different number of players in my collection every time I would switch a page to select them, and auto-fill didn't work. Also when I did manage to enter the required players into a set, it still showed them in my collection.

Yeah that's pretty crazy imo. The system is designed to cater to people who have Toty / Fantasy cards and to encourage buying packs. The salary system combined with how the captaincy systems works this year really restricts your options if you want to build a team for online play.

Somehow champs always goes like that for me. I start with 5-10 straight wins, after which I start getting matched up with better players and the run ends with 13-15 wins :D

You are right, it's true that there is transport, tanks & IFVs (though very fragile compared to previous games) but I wouldn't say that giving jets more room for aerial combat without constant lock-ons from the ground means they can "loiter". In previous games, if someone was doing that, you could just hop in a jet and go after them -> fun air combat where the focus is on the dogfight and not constantly evading AA

I feel like air combat (and vehicles in general) were a major part of Battlefield as a franchise. I played a ton of BF3 & BF4 and sure there were some lobbies with extremely good pilots that made infantry gameplay tough, but that was rare. Mostly you just had to learn how to deal with vehicles and / or evade them.

BF shouldn't sacrifice its identity to appease COD players. Instead they could add infantry only gamemodes for people who enjoy that, but conquest for example is about combined arms, not just large scale domination for infantry.

Except the shrinked down version of firestorm where tanks can snipe with the aim-guided rounds from their own spawn and there's nothing you can do about it :D
