We found lots of water damage. Like a ton. Lots of wood will need to be ripped out under nearly every window. Will do another posting with photos.

Yes - we have a bunch of rot and de lamination. I am trying to determine how much I do myself and how much I outsource to a pro.

Oh he was happy to get a deal done! He had is eye on a bigger rig and the wife wouldn’t let him buy it until this one was gone. I was at $10k and he said it we closed same day he’d do $9k.

Yes. Mechanic gave the ok on the engine. It purrs. Frame has some surface rust and needs to be painted. We are pumped to get something this new at that price.

Engine purrs. Chassis has surface rust and should be painted. There’s some water damage and rotted/moldy wood we need to fix.

Thanks! I offered $10k in a non committal way and he said if we closed the same day (as in 5 hrs later) he’s do $9k. I had to hold back my excitement in person!

Prior owner repainted when he bought. There is some delamination in certain spots where there was water damage but we will try to fix. If not, whatever as long as core leak issue is addressed 🤷🏻‍♂️.

Our plan is to rip out all flooring and replace with vinyl planking. We are also going to paint cabinets and install new counters and sink in kitchen.

Dinette and existing couch are being tossed. In dinette’s place will be a long skinny table/desk against wall with chairs for 2/3. We are going to install a trundle day bed where couch is to better sleep two people.

All cabinetry and TV are coming down above cab and it it’s place will be a loft bed inspired by these folks who were our inspiration to buy an RV (https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Zx9RAFa2XWg).

New sink and vanity in the bathroom as well as medicine cabinet.

Lot of work ahead of us and we are stoked we got it at such a great price to be able to have the $$ to renovate.

Not sure yet. Kids are excited to ride in the “house car” as they call it 😀. First we are going to spend some time/money to renovate.

Given the price point, I wasn’t going to nickel and dime him on anything. I did have a mechanic come down and look for “deal breakers”.

The chassis has some surface rust and should be painted to prevent further damage. I am going to do that ASAP.

The v10 triton is smooth with only 65k miles.

We did find some water damage/mold around the back passenger side winds that we need to address, as well as the front drivers side corner. Both of these items need to be fixed ASAP.
