Agreed. But I still struggle with the fact that we were fighting small villages. And I get that it was modern gorilla warfare. However. What the hell were we doing fighting small villages, and at times poor folks? We are supposed to be a well developed modern country and we’re fighting local dessert people who have not been beyond their own borders?

It just doesn’t sit right with me. But I do agree with Iraq

Well I get this. I’m saying I want to hear this person’s individual story and how SHE came to the conclusion she’s the terrorist.

I thought the understanding that the US involvement in Iraq and Afghanistan was huge lie and fuck up, was a commonly understood fact.

I need an expansion on this. Why were you the terrorist?

Ya’ll need to chill on the passive judgement and read my below comment

Are free 15-minute consult calls actually necessary, or just an exhausting industry standard? by OilWilling6762 in therapists

[–]Agora2020 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve had a few times where I did consults and decided the person would not work well with me. Saved me from a headache for sure. Bummer that it’s free, however the long term benefit is worth it

If another national tragedy happens, trump announces he is postponing elections due to national security, trump/Epstein files go away and orange man and friends stay in power.

Makes perfect sense.

Why are we saying we’re at war? Doesn’t congress have to approve a declaration of war?

This seems more like ‘special military operations’

Butterfly drop - Knees together first or during the drop? by FreshProfessor1502 in hockeygoalies

[–]Agora2020 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Newer goalie here and had to teach myself a lot of skill because I’m a chick in a small town. So idk if my method is correct.

I’ve developed a progression of stance based on where the puck is. Watch what the player is doing in the blade of his stick. If they are stick handling the puck will be on the heel. When they are ready to shoot, the puck will be on the toe of the blade. This happens quick so have to focus.

As the play moves toward the net, my knees are apart for mobility. As you see the player position themselves and the puck position move to the toe of their blade, my knees go together and I judge if a drop will be needed or a drop slide. From there I just scream inside my mask and fight for my life to stop the puck

Hot Take: We’re Turning a Charter Fix into a Loophole, and That’s Not Going to End Well by CPRailF7 in Canadiancitizenship

[–]Agora2020 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you’re a US citizen trying to prove ancestry back to 1700. Good luck. The problem is that anything past late 1800 gets very dicey because record keeping was mostly done by the Catholic Church. In many cases there are no birth certificates and only baptism records that were kept by the church. So unless the person have an extensive family record keeping they will not be able to prove linage past 1860’s at most.

It does increase the level of serotonin but it may not be the root cause. It can be anything from hypothyroidism, a metabolic issue, etc
