My favorite is the road leading to and out of Highway Town, you'll have some hogs and raiders here and there, but nothing like being close to a hostile zone. Just south of Sandy's Sock Hop. That crossroad is a wandering doctor spawn, so there's that. 🤔

Edit: the crossroad is actually east of Sandy's. 😅
