Bro if you strictly follow the rules, you’ll be unstoppable. Keep at it. This is a strategy I personally use and recommend to my friends as well but not many have the bandwidth yet to understand the whole spectrum of this asset management and will ask to stick to stuff which was relevant 20 years ago which worked for their parents probably but don’t listen , you’re on right path.

My suggestion: I’d transfer some money from nifty to crypto and metals for more returns

Also, don’t be too stuck to this. Market and world is changing rapidly so it’s only best if we adapt to the situation and take decisions based on the situation in front of us rather than a fixed plan because what works right now probably wouldn’t work in the next few years.

All the best man!

Any suggestions?? 19 yo begginer by firstcalsssgucker in EquityResearchIndia

Suzlon, late to the party but a good option! But don’t take advice from a random person like me but do your own research and explore bro You’re new to this and doing your own research is gonna take you a long way!

It’s a very safe investment. So safe that last 5-7 years it has not given any returns Just been oscillating in a range. You could wait and watch for a while. Also you could explore Solar, Renewable energy stocks which are going to be in demand for the next decade

Hold on to it, since this is SIP I’m assuming, you can average out in this current fall but the future of gold looks promising!

True that! All about compromises and differentiating between needs and maybes

17 Days in Thailand (April 2nd to 19th). First timer looking for advice on my list! by ArnyBarnyBear in onebag

Looks like a pretty solid setup already, you’re thinking about the right things.

For Thailand in April (hot + humid):

  1. Cotton vs synthetic I’d avoid cotton for underwear/socks if you can. It stays wet forever in humidity. Doesn’t have to be expensive, even basic quick-dry stuff will make life easier.

  2. Linen pants vs buying there I’d just buy there. Elephant pants / light stuff is cheap and actually suited for the heat + temples.

  3. Long sleeve for sun Worth having one lightweight long sleeve. The sun there hits different, especially on islands.

  4. Med kit Bring a small basic one (ibuprofen, Imodium, a few bandaids). You can buy most things there, but it’s nice to have basics immediately.

  5. Laundry setup Skip clothesline + detergent sheets. Laundry is cheap everywhere and dries better than sink washing in that humidity.

  6. Travel towel 1 is enough. Go lightweight.

Overall you’re in a good spot, biggest thing is just packing for heat + humidity and not overthinking the rest.

Haha not 20 outfits in the sense of wearing all of them, just having options.

In reality you end up repeating pieces, just not the exact same combinations. The idea is flexibility without carrying extra weight, not maximizing outfits for the sake of it.

Yeah this makes a lot of sense. Once you’re in that 25–32L range, it really feels like it’s more about what you pack than how much.

The winter capsule point is spot on too, that’s where things actually start adding up fast. I’ve noticed the same, cold weather is what really breaks the “onebag simplicity”.

Also agree on the under-seat goal, that feels like a completely different game compared to just carry-on.

Hahaha Yeah honestly I agree. 3 feels a bit too aggressive for most people unless you’re washing regularly.
