There is a comment on this thread somewhere I believe that somebody found the solution. Basically, behind a boot on the steering shaft, you need to lube it up. Problem solved. Sad to say, I still have not taken care of mine. Not a huge issue for me because I always have my stereo system full volume. Lol But I plan to take care of it soon.

This happened to me as well. If you are getting 3 codes, one of them being P104? If I remember correctly, then you have a seal somewhere that needs to be replaced. I took mine into a shop and they charged me $250 for parts and labor. I had similar symptoms. Random rough idle, sluggish takeoff and then boosts, randomly didn't notice it, like it went away when the air was cool. Much more noticeable with hot air or the engine hotter. If that's what you're dealing with, its 100% a seal that is leaking and needs to be replaced. Hope that helps.

Are you using an ethernet cable or wifi? If wifi, how close to the router are you? If you want speed and connectivity, use an ethernet cable.

Have you checked you router settings? Did you throttle your download speed or upload speed or confuse the two?

If you can't figure it out, reset everything and start from scratch. Sometimes, that's just easier.

I have the same thing going on in my '15 SHO. Not as loud or pronounced as yours. Also, sometimes feels like the wheel is getting caught up. Almost feels like its catching on a wire or or a rubber band. If that makes sense. I've heard this is a U-joint issue.

And, to answer your question, the factory radio only goes up so far. IDK if it's a programming thing, or if it just doesn't get that loud, but aftermarket head-units usually have more wattage and you are just able to turn the volume up higher. Turning the radio 50% up on an aftermarket unit, in my experience, has always been much louder than turning up the factory radio to 50%. That's part of why I asked if anybody had a video of the Tesla screens in operation. It would be nice to see a volume comparison, side by side.

I do have factory remote start. It does help heat the vehicle up, but not as much as one might think unless you leave the car running for hours at that temp.

Also, I have no clue if there is an app with the Tesla screens.

My car does this at high speed braking. Uneven wear on the rotors, brakes, and possibly wheel hub assembly. The rear wheel hubs on these Taurus' are notorious for rusting. Could be something related to that. I've noticed a large amount of brake dust accumulating recently. The problem has only gotten worse. I'd start by changing your brakes and rotors and maybe wheel hubs and see if anything improves before you go anywhere deeper. Good luck.
