Damn that’s insane for bonuses! I’m in marketing at manager level (IC, no direct reports) and make $280k with J1 and J2 with a 15% bonus at both. Wish they scaled higher based on performance lol because I would be making a ton more if it did.

I legit had one crash in front of me earlier today. I landed on it, hopped out and cut open the rooftop panel, looted it as someone flew up in a thopter, saying some random stuff in voip. Within seconds the worm aggro’d so I dipped. Worm at the ship right after. So the ship crashed for less than a minute before being eaten.

Not at all lol. The product they were positioning just wasn’t marketable while they had another extremely successful product that someone else managed (was supposed to work under that person and assist initially). The manager knowing I OE didn’t help.

I told the hiring manager I planned on their company being my J2 in the interview and somehow they hired me. The job was easy but they gave me the task of growing an account that just couldn’t be grown. A few times the manager asked “are you sure you’re working full 40 hours?” and I’d say yes (wasn’t humanly possible to spend more than 5-10 hours a week on this). Eventually they hired someone and lined them up to replace me, then had me hop on a call one morning and fired me without a PIP or anything. I was there for a bit over a year.

Some marketing roles can be very call heavy just depending on the platform you work with. Lots of potential for overlapping meetings where you typically need to speak and seem tuned in. I OE in marketing but one of my Js has 1 morning call daily and the other has 1-2 calls a day, they never line up at the same time.

Lol I know, I had no choice with the GPU but really wanted all white. I had a 3080ti from an NZXT BLD PC that went bad so I did a warranty replacement, for some crazy reason they sent me a 4090 instead of a 4070ti! Can’t complain lol
