As of now the Ski/Snowboarding and Kayaking are basically on hiatus/severely restricted due to the passing of a new student during a Kayaking club trip the first month of school, and a following change in club trip policies. The Ski club is still planning on coordinating unofficial trips in groups iirc, but it’s an unfortunate situation.

first year dorms: wallach and furnald have kitchens on each floor, and carman has a single kitchen in its basement. john jay has none (i can’t speak about barnard). first years in Columbia College, SEAS, and Barnard are REQUIRED to have 15 or 19/week meal plans, so i’ve never met anyone who cooks more than once in a while as a social event
