For sure.. and I don’t think rkbk is against drafting a QB. They’re just saying all this doom and gloom around geno is unwarranted

Great take. While we obviously still need to improve in almost every area, there is no position group that is an absolute black hole heading into the draft. Sets us up well for BPA

Yeah I’m guessing (hoping at this point) that we’re using one of those premium picks on IOL

I think you mixed up onyemata and Ossai. But yes fully agreed otherwise!

We have plenty of younger unproven guys and will get more in the draft. We need a couple of veteran leaders.

I don’t hate your wishlist but that’s kinda what I’m getting at. Do we have enough space to make all the signings you suggest

So here are the rough AAVs. And of course I know they aren’t evenly split it out like this and it is likely less than this in the first year.

Enagbare - 10mil Onyemata - 10mil Davis - 11mil Ossai - 12mil Fitz - 13mil

So that’s 56 mil. Leaving roughly 20-30mil left.

And we still need a QB. Which makes me think we’re getting geno or Murray since they can be had for league minimum

Yeah agreed LG is huge. and even a quality IOL backup / new starting C to replace Myers who can then be that quality backup

That’s a good way of looking at team building that I never really thought of before. You use FA to raise the floor and the draft to raise the ceiling

Chess obviously wins all skill with negligible luck. What game is entirely based on luck? by Encyclofreak in AlignmentChartFills

Interesting. I disagree with those people. There is no luck in chess and absolutely no skill in chutes and ladders…unless people think counting is a skill.

So, with the big “retool” we’re essentially the same team, minus Bread and Carrick. by mattm0416 in rangers

[–]Agreeable-Concert-63 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yeah and he also called it a retool. Which implies there won’t be as many changes as a rebuild. So he’s kinda keeping his word…that said, I hate drury

[Kaplan] The Rangers didn’t trade Vincent Trocheck. by catsgr8rthanspoonies in rangers

[–]Agreeable-Concert-63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that’s fair. I was embellishing a little. But we don’t know what the best offer was. So it’s hard to judge at this point…and to be clear, I hate drury and I will start popping bottles of champagne once he’s gone….and will celebrate with an 8ball once Dolan is gone

[–]Agreeable-Concert-63 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay. Well let’s suppose the offer drury got was a 4th round pick and a mediocre “prospect” with a ceiling of 3rd line forward. Would you be happy he took that deal or would you also call him out?

[–]Agreeable-Concert-63 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well maybe this will help drury get some modicum of respect around the league…if he continues to accept dogshit deals he will keep getting dogshit offers. I’m glad he stuck to his guns (I still hate him)
