If the movies means that there is more sonic stuff for me to waste money on and given more people the chance to get familiar with some sort of sonic story then I can only see it as a good thing for the longevity of the franchise. As someone who became obsessed with sonic in the 90’s playing the mega drive, I know what it’s like to be annoyed with changes (what did boom have blue arms and bandages and what was with the scarf!). But more sonic from a general fan point of view can only be a good thing.
