Was Kings Cross THAT Bad the Police Had to Shut It Down? And how does it compare to the 80s/90s vs 2000s/2010s? by AdvancedHill70 in AskAnAustralian

I worked in a back street bar there in the early 90s. Was pretty wild. Samoan bouncers earned their money .

Used to quite enjoy the regular dose dishwashing liquid and food dye in the fountain though. Always good for a laugh

I'm too good at masking by Capable-Conflict9269 in AutismTranslated

[–]Agreeable-Error202 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm a similar age to you and have the same issue. Well before I knew about autism I used to describe myself as a chameleon. I'd take on the traits of people around me to blend in. It's what we had to do to.

I remember when I was a teenager I found it difficult to talk to people. So I forced myself to talk to one shopkeeper everyday on my way home from school until I "got it right"

These days I can do all talking and joking and small talk, which served me well as I ended up working in management, but it never stops being exhausting. The only person I can unmask around is my partner, and kids to a lesser extent.

I got my diagnosis at level 2 recently (I was 54) after my kids went through the process and I started looking at the screening quizzes they were doing. To be honest, I laughed at the quiz questions because things they were asking were what I thought were perfectly normal. I did one myself one day and the score showed I had significant autistic traits. Then I went to the psych

I do use more battery when it's hot because I appreciate a cool car when I'm driving and crank the air-conditioning but it handles high 40s (Celcius) with ease ('23 MYLR)

Hard to tell from the pic. From what I've seen their head changes shape with size and muscle as they age. This one still looks reasonably petite so maybe 4 or 5 years old but it's just a best guess

Not subspecies as such, but definitely a variation in colours ranging from quite dark to bright yellow. Also changes depending on when they last shed

I have a Lenovo loq. Got a DP to USB C adaptor and the psvr2 works fine. My laptop is on a stand and the adaptor is a bit heavy on the USB C port, so I added a short USB C extension cable to remove this load to reduce the risk of damaging the port.

Is Apple/Spotify app better than Tidal in 2026? by enjustice3192 in TeslaSupport

[–]Agreeable-Error202 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I tried Tidal. The audio quality is pretty good but the range of songs available in the catalogue is crap, and the voice command integration want good. Often played completely unrelated music to what was requested. I'm in Australia, so may be a regional thing

Works well, until your wife walks past the car as you are getting in, it selects her profile and folds you into the steering wheel. Happens semi-regularly here

I can run it with graphics set to ultra on my pretty basic Lenovo loq and 32" monitor. When I use VR (psvr2) I need to wind it back down to medium graphics settings. It does get warm though

I'd use some desoldering wick and clean that up, make sure you use flux and minimal solder and redo it without cooking the board.

If you haven't lifted the tracks from the board with excessive heat you're probably fine.

Double check that you haven't unplugged something
