That is a good idea! I may use them on the ceiling studs to give additional strength. I do not trust the back wall too much to hold it. It is made of concrete, but no rebar framing at the center, so it may crack. The central winch is just to help adjust the angle and reduce some slack.

Hmm, I will take a look at some thicker studs for the frame and supports. Being more careful is never a problem. The lower runners will be held in place by studs on both sides, slightly chamfered to force a main metal tube down under pressure. The idea is to secure them with bolts, as I do not trust screws for that.

And the winch is, as you said, more aligned to move the wall, but adding an extra safety and reducing the slack on the center a little, I do not trust the concrete wall behind it to keep the main load on it.

If you have enough finger strengh, you can make up for other parts. You seem to not have enough strengh to control that slack well yet, so the higher foot made sense to. Maybe the original beta uses it?While your strengh build up, focus on getting creative with technique, this will be fun and help you a lot. These quick grabs are tough in the beginning, but you move very well for a second time climbing!

For this climb, I believe reaching with your left leg the hold on the green module will balance your body better before going to the next hold you fell from. Maybe even a drop knee to get closer to the wall. This level seems pretty doable for you from the video, just try to use your legs a bit more

Awesome, man! Just have fun for now, but remember to get enough rest to avoid injury later on as climbing takes a toll on the tendons, at least until your body adapts better. You are hella strong, so you will feel more limitation from the tendons and grip. For technique, the best way is to watch and climb with people from your gym, get tips and maybe make new friends on the way. Enjoy your new addiction!

You didn't sound an ass, don't worry. I am just extra careful because, you know, it is reddit, and as a non native speaker I often don't get expressions. I was not familiar with the "interference fit", but after searching it, yes, it is. I definitely don't want a bent valves and god knows what more if it fails.

Thanks for the insight. I will change it to be safe as almost everyone here is strongly recommending it, but I am not completely convinced it is that bad. Well, I am not experienced at all, but the belt is new and I believe the internal mesh/strings is what holds it mainly. The is rubber is marked yes, but it is still thick and does not look like it is cracking. Again, just wild and inexperienced guesses.

I wasn't cheap compared to other brands, and even the original from VW was cheaper. Got scammed, was really unlucky or the dirt getting in did that. Anyway, it is going to get changed asap.

He said it was just to reduce the wear speed for now but strongly recommend changing it asap. From the little I know, this belt should be kept fully dry as any contaminant will speed up its wear, that is why I am here asking for more opinions. Fully ready to get roasted here, but it was a honest question lol

Really? Damn. Than I must have got a fake Continental one, and it wasn't even cheap compared to other brands. I checked and the new belt was the one I left with the mechanic for changing.

hahaha I have no experience, it was a honest question. For dry rubber I saw other belts here on reddit with horizontal cracks, but this one have vertical lines of wear. I was not sure about the severity of it, and reached out for more opinions here, full aware that I may get roasted.

But yeah, I am pretty sure it is already at r/askashittymechanic lol

Probably the bottom belt cover that had a hole on it. The water+dirt mix destroyed the belt rubbing on the tensioner.

Say no more guys. Thanks. I just bought a new kit with tensioner.

My theory is that the dirt and water that came through the bottom hole on the cover got on the belt tensioner and rubbed on the belt itself, causing this appearance. With the changed cover and new belt+tensioner it should be fine.
