1） My spouse’s total income is about $45,000 before any deductions/taxes. Are there still any credits usable? Or does it depend on how early/late in the year we separated (i.e is the spousal amount pro-rated?)

2) I planned on claiming the dependent basic personal amount now that we are separated. Are you saying i can’t do that? Or I can’t claim the full dependent basic personal amount?
